N에
Quick answer: N에 means at / in / on N — where something is.
How to form it
place + 에 + 있어요 · 학교에 있어요
In Korean: 장소 + 에 + 있어요 학교에 있어요
What to know
Position words come after the place, not before it — 학교 앞 is school-front, in that order. English says in front of the school; Korean says 학교 앞에. Build it back to front and it will come out right.
Examples
- 편의점은 학교 앞에 있어요.The convenience store is in front of the school.
- 약국은 은행 옆에 있어요.The pharmacy is next to the bank.
- 책은 가방 안에 있어요.The book is in the bag.
