1. Acceptance of Terms
By using HanDa, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Using HanDa
HanDa is an AI-powered Korean language learning app for iOS and Android. To use the learning app, you need to create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for any activity that happens under your account.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by trying to hack or reverse engineer it, using bots or scrapers, sharing your account, or using HanDa content in a way that violates these terms.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
HanDa's tutoring features require a Premium subscription. Premium includes AI conversation, voice conversation, pronunciation scoring, role-play scenarios, grammar, vocabulary, readings, daily missions, and progress tracking.
Premium is offered as a 1-month plan or a 6-month plan. Eligible new subscribers start with a 7-day free trial. Current prices are shown before purchase; at launch, the reference prices are $10 per month and $49.99 every 6 months.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. If you subscribe in the iOS or Android app, payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account and billing is managed by Apple or Google. If web subscription checkout is available, payment is processed by our payment provider.
After cancellation, you keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow our Refund Policy: the 6-month plan can be fully refunded within 3 days of its first payment; monthly payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Purchases made through Apple or Google are refunded by Apple or Google under their policies.
4. Store Purchases & Downloads
HanDa may sell downloadable Korean study materials, including textbook PDFs and weekly tests, through the HanDa Store. Store purchases do not require a HanDa learning account unless the checkout page says otherwise.
Download links are for the buyer's personal use only. You may not resell, share, upload, publish, or redistribute paid HanDa downloads. We may limit or disable a download link if it appears to be abused, shared publicly, or used for fraud.
Store refunds follow our Refund Policy. Because digital files can be accessed immediately, refunds may depend on whether the file has been downloaded and whether there is a technical or payment issue.
5. AI Content
HanDa uses AI to power tutoring and feedback. While we work hard to keep it accurate, AI is not perfect. Please use HanDa as a learning tool, not as your only source of Korean instruction.
6. Your Content & Data
Your learning data, including conversations, progress, and corrections, belongs to you. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service. We will never sell your personal data. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
All HanDa content, design, and technology are owned by HanDa or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, resell, or publicly share any part of the Service or paid downloads without our permission.
8. Disclaimers & Liability
HanDa is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the Service will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every learning goal. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before any claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend your account if you violate these Terms. You can delete your account anytime in the app or by contacting [email protected]. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel it in your device's subscription settings first.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. We will let you know about significant changes via email or in-app notice. Continuing to use HanDa after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
