N이/가 아니에요

Quick answer: N이/가 아니에요 means am not / is not / are not — the negative of 이에요/예요.

How to form it

Final consonant → 이 아니에요 · no final consonant → 가 아니에요

In Korean: 받침 O → 이 아니에요 받침 X → 가 아니에요

What to know

There is no single word for not here. Korean uses a different verb — 이다 becomes 아니다 — and the noun takes 이/가, not 은/는.
